John Griber has lived in Jackson, Wyoming for over 30 years. Living within view of the Teton's has fueled John's passion for adventure and exploration. He has taken this passion to explore some of the greatest ranges in the World as a sponsored professional athlete and snowboard mountaineer for The North Face.
Perhaps best known for his alpine climbs and daring snowboard descents, John Griber is now making a name for himself as a high angle cameraman. With nearly 2 decades of experience as a professional athlete, John has been the subject of countless film and photo shoots.
Transitioning this knowledge of athlete to cameraman and realizing what is required by both sides of the lens is an invaluable asset. Having this versatility and strength required to be safe in the mountains all the while capturing the adventure is a rare combination that few can claim.
He has also stepped into his snowboard and made turns from the "death zone" at 8000 meters on Cho Oyu, the sixth tallest peak on the Planet. A feat not repeated by another North American.
